Modern Electrics was an important monthly technical magazine focused on radio, that began publishing in April 1908. In January 1914 it absorbed Electrician and Mechanic and slightly broadened its focus to become Modern Electrics & Mechanics. In July 1914 the magazine absorbed Popular Electricity and the World's Advance, and stopped printing technical radio articles. It then retitled itself Popular Electricity and Modern Mechanics, and plunged into a quick succession of focus changes, additional absorptions, and name changes (e.g.: Modern Mechanics, World's Advance, and Popular Science Monthly and World's Advance). In January 1916 it finally emerged as Popular Science Monthly, a title which it carries to this day. Included here are only the April 1908 - June 1914 issues.
