Modern Electrics

Modern Electrics was an important monthly technical magazine focused on radio, that ran from April 1908 to December 1913. In January 1914 it absorbed Electrician and Mechanic and slightly broadened its focus to become Modern Electrics & Mechanics.

In July 1914 the magazine absorbed Popular Electricity and the World's Advance, retitled itself Popular Electricity and Modern Mechanics, stopped printing technical radio articles, and plunged into a quick succession of focus changes, absorptions and name changes (Modern Mechanics, World's Advance, and Popular Science Monthly and World's Advance). In January 1916 it finally emerged as Popular Science Monthly, a title which it carries to this day.
