Although there are many other programming languages that have been written for, or ported to, DOS; those offered here are ones that are, compatability wise, better suited to the DOS OS. If undecided on a scripting language, I suggest BASIC, or alternatively PILOT. Even though it was bundled along with MS-DOS 6.22, avoid the QuickBasic structured language interpreter.
